Camp Director
Paul's love for the outdoors began as a child growing up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin. He began his work in youth activities 39 years ago at the Howard Air Force Base Chapel in the Panama Canal Zone while in the U.S. Air Force. After leaving the Air Force, he continued his work with teenagers, and 34 years ago formed TASC Outdoor Adventure Camps. Paul's wife, Joanie, has assisted him at the camps since they were married, 19 years ago. Besides their 3 children, Paul and Joanie have taken 34 foster children into their home since 1993. Paul believes that a youth program should never get so large that the staff is unable to give individual attention. What is TASC? TASC Canadian Wilderness Fishing Camps is part of an extensive outdoor adventure youth program that was established in 1976. For the past 29 years, TASC has conducted summer fishing camps for kids ages 10-17, to the Canadian Wilderness in Northern Ontario. Through the years, thousands of young people from all over the world have experienced the excitement of TASC youth programs. Quality Staff Our staff are carefully chosen to compliment the TASC leadership, goals and high standards. They are responsible, knowledgeable and very mature professionals in their varied fields, ranging in age from the mid-20's to the 70's. They choose to support our summer program because of their solid commitment to the youth of this generation and their great love for the exploration of the wilderness. Many of our staff assist us with our year round program and have been with us for many years. TASC has an excellent reputation and is well-known for the personal attention received by its campers. |
